Igor Simčič visited Monaco to meet with H.S.H. Prince Albert ll, who is also the President of one of the world’s most elite yachting clubs – the Yacht Club de Monaco. They have discussed plans of Esimit Europa 2 for the year 2014 and its role at the grand opening of the new venue of the Yacht Club de Monaco. The opening will take place at the time of the traditional summer cocktail for the Yacht Club de Monaco members on 20 June 2014.

The Esimit Europa 2 yacht, being the leading yacht which sails for the Yacht Club de Monaco, is planned to have a vital role at this occasion. As the organizers say, the new venue is “ambitious and symbolic project, which promises to be a superb showcase for Monaco in the third millennium, reinforcing Monaco’s position as a ‘capital of yachting’.” The building is aesthetically pleasing, hi-tech designed and built to meet the standards for green building based on principles of sustainable development. Igor Simčič has ensured that Esimit Europa 2 will gladly and proudly take part in the program of the grand opening of this state of the art building which is marked by architectural originality and strategic location.

Igor Simčič also attended the Award Ceremony of the Yacht Club de Monaco where they recognize the member who has best represented the Club's burgee during the past racing year. He received a special award for the achievements with Esimit Europa 2 in northern Europe, Rolex Fastnet Race being the highlight win of 2013, while last year he was awarded Yachtsman of the year for numerous records of Esimit Europa 2, in particular the Giraglia, Wally Record and Trieste Valletta.
