Esimit Europa 2 breaks Palermo-Monte Carlo record - 20/08/2010
It was another magnificent victory for Europe today when Igor Simcic’s 100 foot maxi yacht Esimit Europa 2, sponsored by Gazprom, was the first to cross the finish line in Monte Carlo, taking line honours in the Palermo-Monte Carlo regatta. The crew onboard Esimit Europa 2 completed the 500 nautical mile course in 2 days 52 minutes, marking the second significant offshore victory for the European team led by Skipper Flavio Favini. Over the last two days, the team faced a full range of unpredictable conditions in this long offshore race but showed their true skills and broke the course record by 3 hours 19 minutes.

Victory for Esimit Europa 2 - 17/06/2010
Esimit Europa 2 has taken line honours in the Giraglia Race having magestically crossed the finish line in San Remo at 1105 this morning. Owner Igor Simcic and his European crew onboard the 100 foot, canting keel maxi completed the 241 nautical mile course in just over 23 hours.

Esimit Europa 2 first boat to round the Giraglia rock - 16/06/2010
The 220 Giraglia Rolex Cup race participants left for San Remo today at 12.00 CEST, with a south-easterly wind of 8 to 10 knots. Jethou, the 18 m Mini Maxi of Peter Ogden was the first boat to round the offset-mark off Port Grimaud as the fleet set out on the 241-mile Giraglia Race in direction of the Island La Fourmique, before heading to the Giraglia Rock off Corsica.

Line honours again on day 2 - 14/06/2010
With 19 knots of wind, the conditions were ideal for Esimit Europa 2 (EUR) on the team’s second day of racing during the inshore portion of the Giralglia Rolex Cup. The bright blue, 100 foot maxi flying the European flag is the largest yacht competing and towers over the fleet of 221 boats.
