we are happy to announce that Esimit Europa 2’s first ever journey to northern Europe was crowned with great achievements. After becoming the overall winner of Kieler Woche, Esimit Sailing Team finished first among 248 boats also at the renowned Swedish classic ÅF Offshore Race. Crew composed of sailors of 10 nationalities is now focusing on the UK’s Cowes Week and the toughest of all European regattas – Rolex Fastnet Race. Spirits are high and yacht is in the best possible way prepared for another season’s highlight. Meanwhile, Vasilij Žbogar, member of the Esimit Sailing Team, became the 2013 European Champion in Finn sailing class. All this and more in the recent Newsletter.

Slovenian Vasilij Žbogar has become the new European Champion in the Olympic Finn class in Germany’s Warnemünde. Esimit Europa 2’s crew member has dominated the field from the beginning and claimed his first important title in Finn. After two Olympic medals in Laser and placing sixth at London 2012 Olympics he is clearly aiming for gold in Rio 2016 with the support of Esimit Europa as his main sponsor. Placing second was Englishman Ed Wright, who will be joining the Esimit Sailing Team in Cowes, while Josh Junior from New Zealand finished third.

Esimit Europa 2 continues its winning run by taking line honours at ÅF Offshore Race
|
After more than 40 hours of sailing at the 350 nautical mile long ÅF Offshore Race in Sweden, Esimit Sailing Team crossed the finish line first and therefore secured their 22. line honours. The largest Scandinavian regatta, this year attended by 248 boats, proved to be one of the most scenic, yet dangerous races due to shallow waters of Stockholm archipelago. Read more˃˃˃

Esimit Europa welcomes Croatia’s accession to the European Union

On 1. July 2013, Croatia became a full member of the European Union. On this occasion, Igor Simčič, founder of the Esimit Europa project, congratulated Croatians on their accession to the EU and stressed the significance of Europe without borders, based on trust, mutual respect and dialogue.
