Since its establishment in 1995, the Esimit Europa project has been proudly promoting a common European identity and the importance of cooperation through the unifying power of sport.
Since 2010 our multinational crew from 11 European countries achieved 39 victories in 39 races and set 6 course records along the way with the Esimit Europa 2 yacht, while attaining an impressive global media exposure of 1.8 billion people through its activities. We are thankful for the support of our partners Gazprom, Cinkarna and Adidas that allowed us to enter a completely new dimension and to our official partner BMW for the continuous support, which allows us to keep developing our potential.
We are grateful that, in addition to outstanding sport results, our mission, which is to connect all Europeans, and our endeavours in finding unique ways to promote cooperation and strengthen European values, has been recognised by the European Commission, European Parliament and Council of Europe. So far, we have also been honoured with the endorsement of 12 European heads of state, with the most recent support being that of Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany; Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic; Alexander Van der Bellen, Federal President of the Republic of Austria; and Rumen Radev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria.
We sincerely appreciate all the support that we received in the past years and more recently, as this represents an important recognition and motivation to continue developing the Esimit Europa project and focusing on a new future-oriented symbol, which will in a unique way showcase the advantages of diversity in Europe and spread the message of the importance of cooperation for a better tomorrow.
Our mission is to build a new sailing formula 1 - Esimit Europa 3 made of European continent’s innovative technology and powered by BMW engine. Esimit Europa 3 will be an important symbol of friendship, cooperation and mutual trust on the whole European continent and also a unique way to promote European knowledge worldwide through an extensive media coverage.
