Esimit Europa 2’s final preparations are almost complete with just one week remaining until the start of the European team’s second event of the season, the Palermo-Monte Carlo race. Having taken line honours at the Giraglia Rolex Cup in June, Igor Simcic and his professional crew are well prepared for the 500 mile offshore race.
Organized by the Circolo della Vela Sicilia in collaboration with the Yacht Club de Monaco, this year marks the sixth edition of this race which starts in the historic city of Palermo on 18 August. The fleet of 27 yachts includes some of the world’s top maxi yachts and promises to make for a challenging race with varied conditions as the fleet heads north to Monte Carlo.
