The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Dr Miro Cerar received Igor Simčič, founder of the Esimit Europa project, symbolised by one of the fastest and most technologically advanced racing yachts in the world, Esimit Europa 2.
 
Mr Simčič presented the project to the Prime Minister. Much more than just sailing, it is serving as a platform to foster cooperation within different worlds by connecting sports, business and diplomacy with social responsibility and culture. Most importantly it stands as a symbol of connecting all European nations with the same mission – to work together and united towards the same goal.  In the year 2015 the project celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Dr Cerar extended his support to the Esimit Europa project, which by its winning performances at the most renowned international regattas proudly represents the Slovenian Sailing Federation and the Republic of Slovenia. He was also interested in hearing about the future development of the project and project’s future endeavours.
 
The Esimit Europa 2 yacht with the best sailors from 11 European countries also has the unique privilege to fly the flag of the European Union, granted to her in the year 2002 by the president of the European Parliament.
