On the occasion of the World Sailing Conference in Barcelona, Igor Simčič, founder of the Esimit Europa project, met with Carlo Croce, President of World Sailing and Quanhai Li, Vice-President of World Sailing and of the Asian Sailing Federation.
In line with the mission of the Esimit Europa project, which is to promote the powerful message of unity and cooperation, they discussed the possibilities for cooperation and synergies on a global level with the focus on the future of sailing in Asia.
United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon stated in 2015 that what the Esimit Europa project is doing through one of the world’s fastest sailing yachts Esimit Europa 2, is very important as it shares important values of peace, development and harmony. At the time he proposed to initiate the Esimit Europa project also on other continents, starting in Asia, implementation of which has been part of the conversation with Mr Quanhai Li.
