GIRAGLIA ROLEX CUP

Giraglia Rolex Cup is one of the most renowned races in the Mediterranean, for over 50 years it has been believed a traditional race among European sailors, organized by the Yach Club Italiano in association with the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez. The race is comprised of three days of inshore racing in the bay of Saint-Tropez, followed by a 242 nautical miles offshore race. Starting at the historic port of Saint-Tropez, passing the idyllic Iles de Hyères, before turning east, crossing the Ligurian Sea to round Giraglia, a rocky island off northern Corsica. Finish of this year’s jubilee 60th race was in Sanremo, Italy. As the opening act of the 2012 season, Esimit Europa 2 set a fantastic new course record, beating the old one by 3 hours and 6 minutes, taking line honours for the third year in a row.
