The Giraglia Rolex Cup takes place in the Ligurian Sea in the first month of summer. This well-known week - long sailing festival is already in its 63rd year. The first offshore race is from Sanremo in Italy to Saint Tropez in France, where the yachts gather for three days of inshore competition before embarking on one of the most renowned offshore races in the Mediterranean around the Giraglia rock.
The offshore race from Sanremo to Saint Tropez kicks off from Yacht Club Sanremo's docks at midnight on June 12 and takes the flotilla of competing yachts over a course of approximately 60 nautical miles. This will be the 6th time the race has been staged, and Esimit Europa 2 is participating for the first time.
The Giraglia Rolex Cup is organised by Yacht Club Italiano under the aegis of the Federazione Italiana Vela and the Fédération Française de Voile in collaboration with Société Nautique de St. Tropez, the City of Saint Tropez, the Yacht Club de France, the Yacht Club Sanremo and Union Nationale pour la Course au Large.
